Can I go on my own?
Absolutely, in fact a typical salsa holiday is made up of around 75% singles
and 25% couples. Salsa holidays are very sociable and because it's a Salsa holiday
everyone shares a common interest, so you'll get to meet a whole gang of people
during the classes and the nights out. Mealtimes are also an excellent opportunity
to get to know the others in the group. Dance and travel are non discriminating,
and everyone is always welcome, so if you've always wanted to try it then just
do it!
What age are people who go on salsa dance holidays?
Salsa attracts a broad range of ages from 17 to 70 and all ages in between.
Age is not a barrier when learning to dance just lots of enthusiasm and an ability
to laugh.
I am a complete beginner. Does that matter?
Not at all. We have many beginners on the holidays and we offer all different levels of tuition daily, from beginners to advanced, so there is something for everyone. Beginners will progress quickly on a week long course as there is plenty of opportunity to practice. A week long salsa holiday offers the equivalent of over three months of weekly lessons.
Do I have to attend all the classes and club nights?
Of course not. It is your holiday. There is a rather action packed itinerary
for those that wish to dance the light fantastic but for those that prefer to
take things at a more relaxed pace then you are welcome to join in whenever
it suits you.
My friend wants to come but doesn’t want to dance – are there other things to do?
Yes, the destination has specifically been chosen as there are lots of things to do and see. Everyone can enjoy our nights out as there is lots of variety twinned with good music and lots of laughter. You never know they may get hooked too.
I don’t live in the UK, can I still come?
Of course you can. Just telephone or email us and we can confirm all your holiday details with you.
I am coming on my own, can you put me in touch with someone
to share with?
We are happy to pass on contact numbers of people of the same gender who wish
to share a room.
Do I need to bring special shoes and clothes?
Due to the amount of lessons and nights out on the holiday we would recommend that you wear dance shoes or dance trainers as these support the feet. If you don’t already own some they are a worthwhile investment and are available from dance shops or via the Internet. Salsa dress code is pretty relaxed, so you don’t need any particular items of clothing, but it’s a good idea to bring lots of lightweight cotton tops and t-shirts for the classes during the day and a different outfit for the evening.
What do I need for the classes during the day?
Your dance shoes or trainers, a large bottle of water and a towel.
How do I work out which level of tuition to put myself down
for?
Don’t worry too much about this – an estimate will suffice when you fill in the booking form. The dance teachers will gladly help you decide which classes will be best for you.
What language are the dance classes taught in?
The classes on the holiday are taught in English.
